I love a good MCM piece, don’t you? Take a look at how I finished this mid century dresser…

Make sure to give your piece a good prep before using Wise Owl’s One Hour Enamel. I would recommend sanding and cleaning it thoroughly.

So I tried Wise Owl’s One Hour Enamel for the first time, and I’ve got to admit, it was a whole different beast! SO different than what I am used to painting with. It was very liquidy, and to be honest, my first coat of paint was so thin with hardly any coverage. I thought to myself…”Hmmm, is this even right?!” But I kept on painting, and painting….and painting. This piece probably needed 6-7 total coats. BUT…the really nice thing about it, is that NO top coat is needed! I kept telling myself that as I was putting on more coats… maybe worth it?! Less product is more when it comes to this paint, multiple LIGHT coats is the key here! The satin finish was perfect in black for this MCM…I absolutely love how it turned out!
This might be my new go-to for black furniture. It self leveled very nicely, and had a really nice streak free finish…(which can be tough for darker colors).

Let me know what you think of this black enamel! I sure love it! I think the sheen and the duribility of the Wise Owl Enamel would also be perfect for a DIY cabinet paint job! Let me know if you use this, I’d love to hear what you think!
