Vintage florals are so popular, and you can incorporate them into your fall decor. These floral pumpkins are an easy and inexpensive way to add some greenery and flowers to your home. They are perfect for mantels, centerpieces, or clumped together on a tray with books or candles. These can be scattered all over your house!
I was able to make the large pumpkin for less than $10! The mini pumpkins were less than $5 each, and I have supplies left over! Hobby Lobby is a great place to get these supplies, but make note that the succulents there never go on sale, so don’t wait around for one. 😉 Get the most bang for you buck by picking plants with multiple stems that you can cut and get more uses out of.
These are a great fall craft, because there is no right or wrong. You can use your creativity, and even get your kids involved. It would also make a fun activity to do with friends for a little Mom’s Night In.

Materials Needed:
- Craft Pumpkin – Look for one that is hollow or foam. I like to find cheap ones that are on a wire to make wreaths (just clip the wire off!) The brown craft (paper mache pumpkins work well too). The ones with little beads in them, will make a mess!
- Awl or small screw driver
- Assorted succulents, greenery, and florals
- Wire Clippers
- Optional – Upholstery Nails
How To:
Use the awl or screwdriver to poke tiny holes in your pumpkin. Trim down the wire on your greenery/florals, then stick them in the pumpkin.
For the mini pumpkins with succulents, I like to start with a larger succulent as a “base” towards the middle, then fill in. Greenery that is longer and dangles, should be placed closer to the stem, so it looks like it is coming from the stem.

Continue placing the greenery and florals until you are happy with the look. As an optional look, you can embellish the pumpkins with upholstery pins. Be creative with it! Watch the video below to see how I made these in real time.
